Johannes Pentling

Johannes Pentling (* in the 15th century; † August 5, 1471 ) was canon in Münster and Paderborn .

Life

The genealogical descent of Johannes Pentling is not proven. He was first mentioned in a document on October 15, 1438 as the canon of Münster. On July 27, 1450 he belonged to the canons Hermann Droste zu Vischering , Hugo von Schagen , Heinrich Korff called Schmising and Heinrich von Keppel to the opponents of Walram von Moers , whose election as bishop led to the Munster collegiate feud . Johannes was Dombursar from 1461 to 1466 and 1469 to 1470. He was the responsible head of the economic affairs of the cathedral chapter . From 1444 to 1470 he also owned a cathedral canonical in Paderborn.
