Johann Rüth
Johann Rüth SSCC (born September 8, 1899 in Horhausen (Westerwald) , † February 17, 1978 in Mechernich ) was an Apostolic Vicar of Central Norway.
biography
Johann Rüth joined the order of the Arnstein Fathers and was ordained a priest on July 6, 1924 . Pope Pius XII appointed him on February 4, 1953 Vicar Apostolic of Central Norway and Titular Bishop of Amudarsa .
The Vicar Apostolic of Oslo , Jacob Mangers SM , donated him episcopal ordination on April 12 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Knut Ansgar Nelson OSB , Apostolic Koadjutorvikar of Sweden and Johannes Theodor Suhr OSB, Apostolic Vicar of Denmark .
He attended all the sessions of the Second Vatican Council . Paul VI accepted his age-related resignation on March 25, 1974.
