Johannes Trümpler

Johannes Trümpler (* 1981 in Püttlingen / Saarland ) is a German church musician and concert organist .

Career

After completing his C-level church music training in his Saarland homeland, Johannes Trümpler began studying at the Cologne University of Music , where he was instructed in organ by Johannes Geffert and Thierry Mechler , and piano by Klaus Oldemeyer.

After completing his studies, he was organist at the Benedictine Abbey of Maria Laach for nine years , where, in addition to his liturgical tasks, he founded a series of organ concerts with a national impact. Since April 1, 2015 he has been the successor of Thomas Lennartz Dresden Cathedral Organist . He teaches liturgical organ playing at the Dresden University of Church Music and at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater . As a concert organist, he has made guest appearances at home and abroad. Previous appearances have taken him to France, Belgium, Great Britain, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, the USA as well as Russia and Venezuela.

In addition to his artistic work, he has also been working as a speaker for church music for the Diocese of Dresden-Meißen since 2015 , where, among other things, he was involved in the creation of a comprehensive concept for diocesan church music.
