Johannes Zeilinger

Johannes Zeilinger (* 1948 in Wolfratshausen ) is a German sports medicine specialist and author . Since October 13, 2007, he has been chairman of the Karl May Society , one of the German literary societies with the largest number of members .

Zeilinger studied medicine at the Universities of Würzburg and Berlin until 1975 . Since 1983 he has been practicing in a joint sports medicine practice in Berlin.

As an author, he mainly publishes on Karl May (1842–1912), who is still the German writer with the highest circulation. In 1999 he caused a sensation with his thesis that Karl May did not suffer from blindness in his early youth .
