John of Saurma

Johannes Graf von Saurma-Jeltsch (complete. Johannes Evangelist Karl Gustav Joseph Graf Saurma, Freiherr von und zu der Jeltsch ) (born November 9, 1851 in Breslau ; † October 29, 1916 ibid) was a Silesian landowner and politician.

Johannes Graf Saurma came from the Silesian noble family Saurma . His parents were the landowner and member of the Reichstag Gustav von Saurma-Jeltsch (1824–1885) and Anna, nee. Countess Ballestrem (1830–1920), daughter of the landlord and manor house member Karl Graf von Ballestrem .

Johannes Graf Saurma married a distant cousin Ernestine Freiin Sauerma (1855–1910). The couple had four children.

Life

Johannes Graf Saurma was the owner of the goods Zindel ( district of Breslau ), Suckau ( district of Glogau ) and the 2200 hectare entails Gut Jeltsch in the district of Ohlau .

From 1909 until his death in 1916, Saurma was a member of the Prussian mansion at the presentation of the Association of Old and Fortified Real Estate in the Wroclaw and Brieg countryside.
