Gustav Graf von Saurma, Freiherr von und zu der Jeltsch (born May 15, 1824 in Breslau ; † October 27, 1885 ibid) was the ruler and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Gustav von Saurma -Jeltsch was the son of Count Johann Gustav (* June 30, 1797: † August 14, 1879) and his wife Anna von Schaffgotsch (* September 5, 1800; † September 17, 1857).

He attended the grammar school in Breslau and the universities of Breslau and Berlin . He traveled extensively and devoted himself to farming on his property in Jeltsch in the district of Ohlau . There he was head of office, district council member and church council.

From 1878 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Opole 8 ( Ratibor ) and the German Center Party .

On May 21, 1850, he married Countess Anna von Ballestrem (* September 30, 1830 - November 8, 1920), a daughter of Count Carl Wolfgang von Ballestrem . The couple had several children:
