Death and burial

Johannetta Antoinetta Juliana died on April 13, 1726 at the age of 28 in Dahme and was buried in a pewter coffin in the castle church of Neu-Augustusburg .

Marriage and offspring

Her only marriage was on May 9, 1721 in Eisenach with Johann Adolf, later Johann Adolf II, Duke of Saxony-Weißenfels , the son of Johann Adolf I, Duke of Saxony-Weißenfels from his marriage to Johanna Magdalena von Sachsen- Altenburg .

With him she fathered an heir to the throne who, however, died early:

  • Friedrich Johann Adolf (born May 26, 1722 in Dahme; † August 10, 1724 ibid), Hereditary Prince of Saxony-Weißenfels

After Johannetta Antoinetta Juliana's death, Johann Adolf II married a second time, namely Princess Friederike von Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg . The descendants from this marriage also died early, which made the extinction of the Sachsen-Weißenfels line inevitable.
