John Adey
John Adey ( John Austin Adey; born October 21, 1943 ) is a retired British sprinter .
In 1966 he was seventh over 440 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston with his personal best of 47.09 s (equivalent to 46.83 s over 400 m ) and won bronze with the English 4-by-440-yard relay . At the European Athletics Championships in Budapest he was eliminated from the 400 m semi-finals and was fifth with the British team in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
