John Baird (born July 27, 1856 in Alexandria , † March 4, 1902 ) was a Scottish football player .
Career
John Baird played in his playing career in the 1870s for the Scottish club Vale of Leven from his hometown of Alexandria in the West Dunbartonshire region . With the club he was able to win the Scottish Cup three times in a row in 1877 , 1878 and 1879 .
John Baird played three times for the Scottish national football team between 1876 and 1880 , and was able to score one goal each in the international matches against Wales and England .
John Baird died of pneumonia at the age of 45 .
