John Percy "Jack" Blake (born November 13, 1874 in London , † December 19, 1950 in London ) was a British sword fencer and politician .
Life
John Blake took part in three Olympic Games in part: at the 1908 Olympic Games in London , he retired in the individual competition as well in the preliminaries of, as well as in 1912 in Stockholm . In the team competition in 1912, however, he succeeded in winning the silver medal with Edgar Amphlett , Edgar Seligman , Percival May Davson , Arthur Everitt , Cecil Haig , Martin Holt and Robert Montgomerie . In 1920 he did not get beyond the preliminary round in Antwerp in the individual competition, while he was seventh with the British team. With the sword Blake became British champion in 1911.
From 1919 to 1931 and again from 1934 to 1946 he was a member of the London County Council . From 1942 to 1943 he was its chairman .
