John Bufton
John Bufton (born August 31, 1962 in Llanidloes , Wales ) is a former British politician of the UK Independence Party (UKIP).
Life
Bufton attended Elan Village Primary School and Llandrindod Wells High School . He then initially worked in his family's transport business, later he switched his career to the social and health sector and worked his way up to the manager of a retirement home.
politics
In 1987 Bufton was elected to the Rhayader Borough Council and in 1996 to the Powys County Council. In the 2009 EU elections , Bufton won the European Parliament for Wales . Here was a member of the Committee for Regional Development and deputy in the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development . For health reasons, Bufton decided not to run again for the 2014 EU election . The party chose Buffon's assistant Nathan Gill as the new top candidate .
