John Ilhan

John Ilhan (born January 23, 1965 in Yozgat , Turkey , † October 23, 2007 in Brighton , Victoria ; actually Mustafa İlhan ) was an Australian businessman of Turkish origin.

Ilhan's parents immigrated to Australia when he was three years old. As a college dropout, he opened his first mobile phone shop in 1991 with AU $ 1,000 borrowed from his parents; at his death he was the owner of 120 "Crazy John's" shops. His net worth was estimated at AU $ 310 million. In 2005, according to a ranking, he was the richest Australian under 40 .

He had a heart attack while jogging in the morning and died at the age of 42. He left a wife and four children.
