John Loaring
John Wilfred Loaring (born August 3, 1915 in Winnipeg , † November 21, 1969 ) was a Canadian sprinter and hurdler .
Loaring mostly competed in the 400-meter hurdles . At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he won a silver medal over 400 m hurdles. In the 400-meter run , he finished sixth, and in the 4-by-400-meter relay , he came in fourth with the Canadian team.
In 1938 he won the British Empire Games in Sydney over 440 yard hurdles and in the 4-by-110-yard and the 4-by-440-yard relay. He finished fifth over 440 yards.
In 1936 he was Canadian champion over 400 m and 400 m hurdles.
