John M. Hyneman

John M. Hyneman (born April 25, 1771 in Reading , Province of Pennsylvania , †  April 16, 1816 there ) was an American politician . Between 1811 and 1813 he represented the state of Pennsylvania in the US House of Representatives .

Career

John Hyneman attended public schools in his home country. He later embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Republican Party . In 1809 he was a member of the House of Representatives from Pennsylvania ; from 1810 to 1816, also during his time as a congressman, he was employed at the Guardianship Court. He was also a Brigadier General of the Pennsylvania State Militia.

In the congressional election of 1810 , Hyneman was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the third constituency of Pennsylvania , where he succeeded Matthias Richards on March 4, 1811 . After a re-election in the seventh district of his state, he could remain in Congress until his resignation on August 2, 1813 . During this time the British-American War began in 1812 .

In the year of his death, 1816, John Hyneman became head of the Berks County land survey . He died on April 16, 1816 in his hometown of Reading, where he was also buried.
