John Marie Laval
John Marie Laval (born September 21, 1854 in Saint-Étienne , France , † June 4, 1937 ) was auxiliary bishop in New Orleans .
Life
John Marie Laval received on 10 November 1877, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On 11 September 1911 it appointed Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Hierocæsarea and ordered him auxiliary bishop in New Orleans. The Archbishop of New Orleans, James Herbert Blenk SM , donated him episcopal ordination on November 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Natchitoches , Cornelius Van de Ven , and the Bishop of San Antonio , John William Shaw .
