John Marvin (born October 17, 1927 in Cambridge , † June 22, 1980 Seaford ) was an American sailor .
successes
John Marvin, who started for the Eastern Yacht Club , took part in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne in the Finn-Dinghy boat class . With 5953 points, he finished third behind Paul Elvstrøm and André Nelis and thus won the bronze medal.
In 1949 he graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology .
