John Miles Junior

John Miles Junior is an English musician , guitarist and songwriter . His father is the musician John Miles Sr . From 2009 to 2013 Miles Jr. was a member of the Belgian dance group Sylver .

Life

From 1993 to 1994 Miles studied pop music in England at Newcastle College of Music. For the next two years he played guitar on Night of the Proms . He worked with well-known pop musicians, including Debbie Harry , Bryan Ferry and Joe Cocker . In 1995 Miles worked with the British actor and singer Jimmy Nail , as a guitarist he played the album "Crocodile Shoes II" with him. In 1996 he worked for " Andrea Bocelli & Friends", and from 1996 to 1997 also for Tony Hadley ( Spandau Ballet ).

After joining the Belgian dance group Milk Inc. in 1997 , Miles co-wrote the songs and performed as a guitarist on stage. With the first single after joining In My Eyes , the commercial success came back that had failed to materialize after the song La Vache . This was in part thanks to Miles, whose influence as a songwriter had an impact on the style of the music. Combined with the voice of Ann Vervoort, all of the songs released became top 10 hits during his time at Milk Inc. in Belgium. While at Milk Inc., the band worked with Tony Hadley. Two singles were released in which Miles was involved as a songwriter and guitarist: Will U Take Me (2000) and Sweet Surrender (2002). In 2001 Miles left Milk Inc., but from 2006 onwards he accompanied the band again as a guitarist at major live concerts.

In 2005 Miles met drummer Simon Ferry. Together with him he founded the rock 'n' roll band The Urge. A little later, Jonathan Boyle were hired as singer and Neil Harland as bassist. After completing their debut album “Lunch at the Lady Garden” in 2007, the Newcastle- based band toured Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland as the opening act for The Hooters , SAGA and Gary Moore .

Since 2009 John Miles Jr. has been the guitarist, songwriter and co-producer of the internationally successful Belgian dance group Sylver . The first single Foreign Affair released with him as a band member entered the Flemish charts at number 3. Since then, Sylver has celebrated the greatest successes in their home country since their musical debut in 2000. The greatest hits album Decade - The Very Best of Sylver made on March 27, 2010 even jumped to number 1 in the Belgian album charts. He remained a member of the formation until its dissolution (2013).
