John Paine
John Bryant Paine (born April 8, 1870 in Boston , † August 2, 1951 in Weston , Massachusetts ) was an American sports marksman.
At the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 , he won the competition with the service revolver in front of his brother Sumner .
The father of John and Sumner Paine was General Charles Jackson Paine , who won the America's Cup in 1885, 1886 and 1887 . Lieutenant John Paine fought in the Spanish-American War in 1898 . He later became a wealthy investment banker.
