Sumner Paine

Sumner Paine (born May 13, 1868 in Boston , † April 18, 1904 in Boston) was an American sports marksman .

Paine took part in the First Modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 . In shooting with the service revolver, he finished second behind his younger brother John Paine , before becoming Olympic champion in the competition with the free revolver.

Sumner Paine had completed his medical degree in Colorado, but never practiced as a doctor, but worked as a gunsmith in Paris.
