John Sidney Reid (born November 27, 1918 in Atlanta , † May 17, 1954 in Miami ) was an American sailor .
successes
John Reid took part in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki with John Price in the Star boat class . With their boat Comanche , despite four victories in a total of seven races, they finished second behind Nicolò Rode and Agostino Straulino from Italy, who came second four times and first three times. They finished the regatta with 7216 total points and thus received the silver medal.
