Lawrence Edgar "Larry" Low (born August 22, 1920 in Trenton , † July 1, 1996 in Toms River ) was an American sailor .
successes
Lawrence Low took part in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne with Herbert Williams in the Star boat class . With their boat Kathleen they won two of the seven races and finished the regatta with 5876 total points in first place, making them Olympic champions ahead of the Italian and Bahamian boats .
Low has also won numerous races within the New York Metropolitan Area . For several years he was General Secretary of the International Star Class Yacht Racing Association .
