Andrew Jackson Libano junior (born January 19, 1903 in New Orleans , † June 22, 1935 there ) was an American sailor .
successes
Andrew Libano took part in the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles with Gilbert Gray in the Star boat class . With their boat Jupiter they won five of the seven races and finished the regatta with 46 total points in first place, making them Olympic champions ahead of the British and Swedish boats .
Libano attended Tulane University and worked in his father's grocery wholesale. Three years after the Olympics, he died of strep infection .
