John Wesley (born in June 1962 as John Wesley Dearth, Jr. , hence also Wes Dearth ) is an American guitarist and singer .

Life

He began his career in Tampa , Florida in the early 1980s , where he co- founded Autodrive in 1991 with drummer and producer Mark Prator . From 1992 he also pushed his solo career forward and was a long time support act for the British progressive rock band Marillion . In 1998 he accompanied Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd's tour together with Mike Tramp (formerly with White Lion ) as the opening act. He also toured with Fish , on whose 2001 album Fellini Days he worked as a songwriter. Wesley has been a live guitarist with the English band Porcupine Tree since 2002 .

His solo discography includes five albums and various singles. Since August 2007 he has been offering all of his previously published solo material for free download on his website by providing an email address. In return, Wesley asks to recommend the music to potential interested parties. There is also the option of donating voluntarily for the music.
