Johnny Jensen (born February 17, 1972 in Tønsberg , Norway ) is a handball coach and former handball player . He is 1.90 meters tall and weighs 100 kilograms. Jensen is married and has two children.

Life

From 1987 to 1999 he played for his first professional club Sandefjord TIF , with which he won Norwegian championships in 1999 and cup winners in 1993 and 1999. From there he moved to the German Bundesliga club VfL Bad Schwartau , with whom he won the DHB Cup in 2001. Via ThSV Eisenach (2001-2003) he came to SG Flensburg-Handewitt , where he played until 2010 and was German champion and cup winner with the shirt number 14 and the nickname "handball god" in 2004 . He won the trophy again the following year. In 2010 Jensen ended his career due to an injury. He then took over the position of assistant coach at the Norwegian second division club Nøtterøy IF . During the 2010/11 season, however, he made his comeback and rose to the Postenligaen with Nøtterøy . Here he ended his career after the 2012/13 season and took over as coach of Nøtterøy. In 2016 he ended his coaching work at Nøtterøy. He has been training Falk Horten since the 2017/18 season . He is also a member of the coaching team of the Norwegian U18 national team.

In action at SG Flensburg Handewitt, Johnny Jensen threw 525 goals in 269 games. For Norway, he played 200 internationals.
