Johnny Palacios (born December 20, 1986 in La Ceiba ) is a Honduran football player . The national player is under contract with CD Olimpia . His brothers Milton , Jerry and Wilson also play for the Honduran national team.

Career

Like the other four Palacios brothers, Johnny began his career at CD Olimpia , where he was Honduran champion several times and played a key role in the continued success of the Leones on a national and international level. His performances were so convincing that he was even about to move to Wigan Athletic in the English Premier League , which, however, burst at the last moment.

Despite his good performance at the club, the two-way central defender was only appointed to the Honduran national football team by Reinaldo Rueda shortly before the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 . Palacios justified the confidence that the Colombian coach had placed in him and was also regularly used in the following months in the World Cup qualification and at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa .
