The Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (formerly the Joint National Integration Center ) of the Missile Defense Agency of the USA supports the Unified Combatant Command in research and development , testing , evaluation and operations and provides training support. In addition, the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) takes on tasks for the defense against ballistic missiles (ICBM). The MDIOC is housed in a 62,802 multi-purpose facility on Schriever Air Force Base , Colorado .

The MDIOC is primarily a research center with the aim of analyzing, designing, building, integrating, testing and examining orders for the development and use of missile defense systems. It is intended to support the technical integration and coordinated use of missile defense of all branches of arms (CONOPS doctrine). For this purpose, it examines scenarios of missile defense, the use of space technology, computer-aided battle management (BM / C4I) and generally provides services for conflict simulation (wargames).

The center operates 24/7 and had 2011 an approximate budget of 83 million US dollars . In the years to come, spending is slated to decrease to around $ 55 million annually due to changes in priorities for the United States Department of Defense . The largest single item in the budget is intended for the operation of the data center . The expenses for this are to be increased from 20.5 million US dollars in 2011 to almost 26 million US dollars in 2013, contrary to the other savings.
