Jolanda I of Lusignan

Jolanda I. von Lusignan (French: Yolande , born March 24, 1257 in Angoulême ; † September 30, 1314 ) was mistress of Fougères from 1273 , from 1308 also mistress of Lusignan , Couhé and Peyrat, as well as countess of La Marche .

She was the oldest child of Hugo XII. by Lusignan and Johanna von Fougères . After her mother's death in 1273, she inherited the Fougères rule from her. After her two brothers Hugo XIII. and Guido I died, she inherited the paternal lords of Lusignan, Couhé and Peyrat and the county of La Marche from the latter in 1308. The county of Angoulême fell to her younger sisters Johanna and Isabella, who sold them to the French king Philip IV .

Before 1281 she married Elie Rudel , Herr von Pons, for the first time . She had two children with him:

In her second marriage she married Robert von Matha .

When she died in 1314, the county of La Marche was annexed by King Philip IV and given as apanage to Philip's son Charles IV of France .
