Jonathan "Jon" Gerard Caffery (* 1960 in Dorset , England , United Kingdom ) is a German music producer.

Caffery had lived in London since he was six and mixed the records there for Factory Records for punk, reggae and new wave bands in the late 1970s, until he came to Germany in 1983 because the New German that was emerging there made him Welle and the experimental electronic music of the groups Can and Kraftwerk . However, he couldn't find a suitable job and for a year mixed albums in a Frankfurt studio for American bands whose music didn't appeal to him. In addition, he produced the solo albums by Nils Selzer and Harry Heinen, both members of the Frankfurt punk rock group Strassenjungs at the time . Then he got to know the bands Abwärts , Einstürzende Neubauten and finally Die Toten Hosen , of which he produced almost all of the recordings from the debut album Opel-Gang in 1983 to the album Nur zu Visiting in 2005.

In 2001 he founded the Monoposto Mastering Studio in Düsseldorf together with Michael Schwabe , where he produces, among others, for Die Toten Hosen, 2raumwohnung , TV Smith , Paul Young , Stephan Remmler and Wir sind Helden .

He temporarily moved back to London, but has lived in Germany since 1988.
