Career

Snersrud, who started for Rjukan Skilag, won the B competition of the Holmenkoll Ski Festival in Nordic Combined in 1923 as a junior . At the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1928 , Snersrud won the bronze medal behind his compatriots Johan Grøttumsbråten and Hans Vinjarengen . A few weeks later, he finished second at the open German ski championships.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1930 , he took eighth place in the combination, which was also his best result at senior level at the Holmenkoll Ski Festival. In addition, Snersrud also competed in special jumping at the World Championships, where he achieved ninth place after jumps on 47.5 and 48 meters.

Snersrud worked as an electrician until the end of his career. He died in Rjukan in 1986 at the age of 83.
