Jonah Sharp

Jonah Sharp (born before 1990 in Edinburgh ) is a Scottish ambient musician who also became known under the pseudonym Spacetime Continuum .

In addition to his solo albums, Sharp has worked on numerous projects with musicians and artists such as Terence McKenna , Mixmaster Morris , Haruomi Hosono , Peter Kuhlmann , Ursula Rucker , David Moufang , Tetsu Inoue and Bill Laswell .

Life

Sharp, from Edinburgh, Scotland, began his musical career as a drummer in various punk bands and later also in the London acid jazz scene. In the late 1980s, influenced by Detroit techno and Chicago house , he turned to electronic music. He performed as a live act and DJ, and was primarily booked for the chill-out areas .

Sharp moved to America in 1992, where he settled in San Francisco and founded his own label, Reflective . In 1993 his first album was released under the alias Spacetime Continuum , on which the philosopher and ethnobotanist Terence McKenna appeared as a spoken word artist.

By the end of the 1990s, various albums and EPs followed as Spacetime Continuum , which appeared on his own label Reflective and on Astralwerk . Together with Peter Kuhlmann , various albums were released under project names such as Alien Community or AC on the Frankfurt label FAX + 49-69 / 450464 . With David Moufang he founded the project reagent .
