Move D , bourgeois David Andreas Paul Nicola Moufang (* on September 7, 1966 in Heidelberg ) is a German, internationally known composer , sound artist , musician ( drums , guitar , piano , synthesizer ), music producer , DJ and techno producer ( ambient , Downtempo , house , techno, minimal ), see also electronic music .

Life and career

David Moufang was the lead guitarist and band leader of The Ten from 1983 to 1985 , with whom he won the school competition Rock aus der Penne .

Foundation of the Source Records label

In 1992 David Moufang founded the Source Records label with graphic designer Jonas Grossmann . Jonas Grossmann was responsible for management, A&R , promotion, press and design for the Source Records label from 1992 to 2005 . Grossmann also brought in Till Krautkrämer to design the covers for the CDs . Source Records gained recognition in the international music scene. In 1995 the first publication appeared under the pseudonym Move D, a modification of Moufang's nickname Mufti from his school days, which David Moufang has been using regularly as an alias for his DJ appearances. Together with Jonas Grossmann, David Moufang founded a second label in 1996, the KM20 .

Joint work with cultural institutions

Since 1996 there had been a recurring collaboration between David Moufang and the Goethe-Institut , with events in London , Munich , Budapest and other events in Australia and Asia.

Composition work for Bayerischer Rundfunk

Since 1998 David Moufang has been composing and arranging the music to texts by the writer Thomas Meinecke for their joint radio play productions on behalf of Bayerischer Rundfunk .

Thomas Meinecke is the radio play speaker of his own texts. He speaks his text material in the recording studio of Bayerischer Rundfunk, where it is recorded for further processing for the respective radio play productions.

The compositions by David Moufang and the texts by Thomas Meinecke, the artistic final processing of all sound tracks with the integration of all digital and analog music and text passages, right up to the sound design and mixing ready for broadcast , the so-called audio mastering , as the last work steps before handing over to the sound engineer of Bayerischer Rundfunk, are completed by David Moufang in his own studio for Bayerischer Rundfunk as a completed radio play music production .
