Herbert Kapfer (born March 2, 1954 in Ingolstadt ) is a German author , editor and radio play director .

Life

From 1972 to 1974 Herbert Kapfer completed a journalistic training at the Munich press training institute. In 1970 he published his first poems and short prose in literary and subcultural magazines, and from 1971 broadcasts for public radio programs. From 1980 he published radio plays, plays, prose, essays and literary collages . He was co-founder in 1978 and until 1983 lyricist and musician of the Bavarian acoustic band Dullijöh . In 1988 he became dramaturge in the radio play department of Bavarian Radio . From 1996 to 2017 he headed the radio play and media art department there . Kapfer was the initiator and director of the intermedium festival held in 1999 and 2002 . He is the founder of the intermedium records series , in which numerous artistic editions have appeared. From 2012 to 2017 he was the coordinator of the radio and web project The Sources Speak . Kapfer is editor of the works of Richard Huelsenbeck and co-editor of letter editions, u. a. to Franz Pfemfert . He publishes on Dada , literary , contemporary and media history .
