Eran Schaerf

Eran Schaerf (* 1962 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa ) is an Israeli-German artist, author, radio play and filmmaker.

Life

Eran Schaerf studied architecture, first from 1978 to 1982 in Giv'atajim , then from 1985 to 1990 at the Berlin University of the Arts . He became internationally known through his participation in documenta IX in Kassel (1992) and in Aperto '93 in Venice. Eran Schaerf has been a member of the Akademie der Künste since 2016 .

Schaerf's work includes installations, films, radio plays and publications.

Frequency modulated scenario

FM-Scenario is an intermedia project by Eran Schaerf that uses the Internet as a production location to generate content for other media. The archive of the audio modules available on fm-scenario.net was created using radio news plays produced by Schaerfs at Bayerischer Rundfunk. FM-Scenario is a cooperation between BR Hörspiel and Medienkunst / A Production e. V. Berlin / Hartware MedienKunstVerein Dortmund / House of World Cultures Berlin / Les Complices * Zurich / Museum for Concrete Art Ingolstadt; ZKM Karlsruhe.
