history

The forerunner of SG Bademeusel eV was the gymnastics club Groß Bademeusel, founded in 1909 . After it was dissolved in 1950 for political reasons, the Groß Bademeusel sports community was founded on October 4, 1953, with the departments of gymnastics , fistball , athletics and table tennis , the last two being dissolved in 1955. After reunification, the name was changed to SG Bademeusel eV. In 1997, the sports club was expanded to include the riding department.

The most successful sport in the club is fistball. In 2006, the women's team was promoted to the field season of the Fistball Bundesliga North . In this the team was able to hold up for three seasons, in 2008 the best result was achieved with third place. Until 2013, the team was represented in the field seasons of the 2nd East Fistball League . In the seasons 2000/01 and 2003/04 to 2012/13 the women also played the indoor season in the 2nd Bundesliga fistball. With the exception of the game year 2003, the men's team was represented in the 2nd Bundesliga fistball field from 2000 to 2008. The return to this league succeeded in the 2016 season. The 2nd fistball Bundesliga hall could be held from 2012/13 to 2014/15.
