Fistball Bundesliga

The Fistball Bundesliga is the highest national league in the German Federal Republic and since 1990 in Germany as a whole since 1960 Fistball game operation . The competition takes place in a league divided into north and south seasons and is organized by the German Fistball League .

The fistball Bundesliga is divided into a north and a south season. The 1. Bundesliga North area includes clubs from the federal states of Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia. The 1st Bundesliga South includes clubs from Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Thuringia and Saxony.

The two relays consist of eight teams for men and nine for women. They compete against each other in home and return matches. For women, three teams each meet to play a double match day. The hosts play the first and the final third game.

In a separate tournament, the three best teams in each season finally play the German champions. In the field there is a joint final tournament for women and men in September, in the hall the title holder will be determined at various locations in March.

The two last-placed teams are relegated to the subordinate 2nd national leagues North, West, South and East.

In fistball, there is both an indoor and a field season in which title winners are played. Outside of Germany, there are only league games in the hall in Austria and Switzerland.
