Jonas Graetzer

Jonas Graetzer (also Jonas Grätzer , born October 19, 1806 in Tost , † November 25, 1889 in Breslau ) was a German doctor and medical historian .

Life

Jonas Graetzer studied medicine in Breslau and received his doctorate in 1832 . He then worked as a doctor in Breslau until the end of his life. Graetzer became a royal secret medical councilor and "conducting hospital doctor". He is the author of numerous publications on medical subjects. The focus of his scientific work was on the history of medicine.

On July 27, 1886, he was elected a member ( matriculation no. 2600 ) of the Leopoldina in the Scientific Medicine section .
