Jonas Petras Kenstavičius

Jonas Petras Kenstavičius (born 1927 in Liaudginai , Wolost Batakiai , Tauragė district ; † April 27, 2008 ) was a Lithuanian forest scientist .

Life

In 1952, Kenstavičius graduated from the Faculty of Forestry at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija near Kaunas and in 1963 the traineeship at the Moscow Forest Technology Institute . In 1964 he received his doctorate at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija on forest taxation on the subject of "Dalinės matuojamosios-perskaičiuojamosios taksacijos pritaikymas tvarkant LTSR miškus sklypiniu metodu" as a candidate for agricultural sciences . In 1988 Kenstavičius completed his habilitation at the Moscow Forest Technology Institute on the subject of "Lietuvos TSR miškų tvarkymo dirvožeminiu-tipologiniu pagrindu teorija ir internship".

From 1952 to 1959 Kenstavičius worked in the company "Miško projektas", from 1963 at the Miškų institutas , from 1970 to 1994 as a department head of this forest institute in Girionys . From 1957 to 1959 and from 1994 to 1997 he taught at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio akademija and from 1996 at the Lietuvos žemės ūkio universitetas , from 1996 as a professor .

From 1972 to 1990 Kenstavičius headed the association Lietuvos miškininkų draugija .
