Jonas Weitzel (born June 25, 1998 in Kassel ) is a German basketball player .
career
Weitzel played soccer and handball before he devoted himself to basketball and initially played in the youth team of SSC Vellmar. He moved to ACT Kassel, in the 2016/17 season the inside player was also part of the U19 team of the BBT Göttingen in the youth basketball league .
In the summer break of 2017 he moved to the TG Würzburg in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . With good performances in the Würzburg training team, Weitzel also recommended himself for the Bundesliga club s.Oliver Würzburg and made his debut in the state's top division in the game against the reigning German champions Bayern Munich at the end of October 2019 .
