Jones Carioca (born October 14, 1988 in Caratinga ; real name Jones da Silva Lopes ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Carioca began his club football career in the youth department of Bonsucesso FC . Here he was accepted into the professional squad in 2007 and played for this club until the summer of 2010. Only in 2009 was he loaned to EC Noroeste for half a season . In 2010 he switched to the CD Maldonado . For this club he only played sporadically and was mostly loaned to other Brazilian clubs.

For the second half of the 2013/14 season Carioca was loaned from CD Maldonado to the Turkish Süper Lig to Kardemir Karabükspor . At the end of the season, Carioca left Karabükspor again.

For the 2014/15 season he signed a one-year contract with the new Turkish second division club Giresunspor . After a season he left this club again.

After working for ABC Natal in 2016 , he returned to Giresunspor in January 2017.
