The Jones Valley is a snow-covered valley in Queen Elizabeth Land in West Antarctica . In the southern Neptune Range , it lies between the West Prongs and the Elliott Ridge .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the valley based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Lieutenant James GL Jones of the US Navy, who performed in the Antarctic winter of 1958 The crew at Ellsworth Station .
