Jordan from Quedlinburg
Jordan von Quedlinburg , also Jordan de Saxonia (* around 1300 in Quedlinburg ; † 1370/80) was a German preacher and writer.
Life
Jordan entered the monastery of the Augustinian order in Quedlinburg and stayed for training in Bologna and Paris . He then worked as a lecturer in the Augustinian monastery in Erfurt and then in Magdeburg . When the Archbishop Burchard III. Was murdered in 1325, he was active as a judge in the canonical trial of the archbishop's murderers, which lasted until 1349.
In addition, he devoted himself to literary works that found widespread use and influenced contemporary piety.
