Jordi Bonet i Armengol (* 1925 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish architect and has been president of the Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi since 1998 .

biography

Bonet, son of the architect Lluís Bonet i Garí , studied at the University of Barcelona until 1949. In 1952 he married Mariona Agustí i Badia, a daughter of Conxita Badia i Millàs . He has six children with her. From 1981 to 1984 he was Director General of the Generalitat de Catalunya for Art Treasures. His architectural designs are strongly based on the style of Antoni Gaudí . Since 1987 Bonet has also been part of the group that coordinates the work on the Sagrada Família .
