Jorge Alarcón Collignon

Jorge Alarcón Collignon (born March 1, 1950 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a Mexican entrepreneur and football official .

Life

After studying business management at the Universidad de Guadalajara from 1967 to 1972 and various activities in the furniture industry , Alarcón worked from 1974 to 1996 as general director for Industrial Mueblera Leal, SA . At the beginning of the 1990s he was also a member of the Executive Committee of the Club Deportivo Guadalajara , initially as Vice President from 1991 to 1993 and as President from 1993 to 1996.

After working for CD Guadalajara, he also shifted his professional commitment to the sporting sector and was initially active as marketing director for the Costa Rican club CD Saprissa and then as general director for the Costa Rican club AD San ​​Carlos .

At the beginning of the new millennium he worked as general director for the Mexican association Nacional Tijuana , a farm team of the CD Guadalajara. Then he was entrusted by its club president Jorge Vergara with the purchase of the CD Guadalajara.

Since January 2015 Alarcón has been working as a sports advisor on behalf of the Honduran government.
