Jorge Kémérer
Jorge Kémérer SVD (born September 13, 1908 in San Rafael , † June 26, 1998 ) was an Argentine clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Posadas .
Life
Jorge Kémérer joined the religious community of the SVD and was ordained a priest on October 30, 1932 .
Pope Pius XII appointed him on March 13, 1957 the first bishop of the newly established diocese of Posadas . The bishop of Jujuy , Enrique José Mühn SVD, donated him episcopal ordination on June 8th of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops Manuel Tato and Manuel Menéndez from Buenos Aires . The inauguration in the diocese of Posadas took place on July 6, 1957.
He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.
On June 16, 1986, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
