Manuel Menéndez

Manuel Menéndez (born January 24, 1915 in Buenos Aires , Argentina , † December 15, 1999 ) was Bishop of San Martín .

Life

Manuel Menéndez received the sacrament of ordination on December 20, 1947 after studying Catholic theology and philosophy .

On October 25, 1956, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Diospolis Superior and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires . The Archbishop of Cordoba , Fermín Emilio Lafitte , ordained him episcopal on December 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of San Luis , Emilio Antonio di Pasquo , and the Auxiliary Bishop of Buenos Aires, Manuel Tato .

On June 12, 1961, Pope John XXIII appointed him . to the first bishop of San Martín. The inauguration took place on October 1 of the same year. On July 16, 1991, Pope John Paul II accepted Manuel Menéndez's resignation due to reasons of age.

Manuel Menéndez attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
