José Ovejero

José Ovejero (2006)

José Ovejero (born April 12, 1958 in Madrid ) is a Spanish author.

Life

José Ovejero studied geography and history and did research on the ancient Egyptian religion. After completing his studies, he worked for several years in Bonn , then from 1998 in Brussels as a conference interpreter. He returned to Madrid as a translator .

Overjero published a volume of poetry about Henry Morton Stanley in 1993 : Biografía del Explorador and immediately won recognition of the "Premio Ciudad de Irún". Overjero wrote in various genres and in 2005 received the Premio Primavera de Novela for the novel Las vidas ajenas .

In 2013 Ovejero received the Premio Alfaguara de Novela for La invención del amor .
