The Gmina Człopa ( municipality Schloppe ) is an urban and rural municipality in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . The headquarters are in Człopa . The municipality covers an area of ​​250 km² with 4945 inhabitants.

Location of the municipality in the Powiat Wałecki

The municipality is located in the south of the Powiat Wałecki ( German Krone ), which lies in the southeast of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

The river Człopica ( Mühlenfließ ), which rises near the town of Człopa and flows 29 kilometers into the Drawa ( Drage ), runs through the municipality .

The rest of the municipality is accessed by side roads and country lanes.

A train connection has not existed since the end of the 20th century. In 1899 and afterwards the Kreuz – Schloppe – Deutsch Krone railway was laid. Now the line 412 still operated by the Polish State Railways has been closed.
