The Gmina Tuczno ( municipality of Tütz ) is an urban and rural municipality in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . The headquarters are in the city of Tuczno . The community is a partner community of the Brandenburg community Märkische Heide .

With an area of ​​almost 250 km², the municipality makes 17.7% of the area of ​​the entire Powiat Wałecki ( Deutsch Krone district ). In terms of population, it ranks 79th in the voivodeship with 4956 inhabitants.

The Gmina Tuczno is crossed in a north-south direction by the voivodship road 177 , which continues from Czaplinek ( Tempelburg ) and Mirosławiec ( Märkisch Friedland ) to Człopa ( Schloppe ) and Wieleń ( Filehne ).

On the south-eastern edge near Rusinowo ( Ruschendorf ), the Polish state road 22 ( Germany / Kostrzyn nad Odrą - Grzechotki / Russia ) touches the municipality and replaces the former German Reichsstraße 1 ( Aachen - Berlin - Königsberg (Prussia) - Eydtkuhnen ). Voivodship road 179 branches off here and provides a connection to Piła ( Schneidemühl ).

A train connection has existed again in the municipality since 2012. In 1888 Tuczno was connected to the railway network with the Schneidemühl – Deutsch Krone – Kallies line, followed in 1895 by the line via Kallies to Stargard in Pomerania . It was initially operated as Polish State Railways (PKP) line 403 between Piła ( Schneidemühl ) and Ulikowo ( Wulkow ), then stopped in 2000 and reopened in 2012. In the municipality there are the train stations Tuczno (officially: Tuczno Krajeńskie ) and Jeziorki ( Jeziorki Wałecki ).
