José Valencía Murillo (born March 19, 1982 in Quinindé ) is an Ecuadorian football player .

Career

At the age of 21, José Valencía moved from his home country to Ajax Amsterdam. In 2004 he moved to NEC Nijmegen. There, as well as at Willem II Tilburg, the defender was deployed a total of 62 times in the Eredivisie . In 2008 he was loaned to the second division club FC Eindhoven. Between July 2009 and January 2010 he played for the German third division club Wuppertaler SV . In January 2010 he went back to Ecuador to join LDU Quito. For this club he played until 2012. He was then without a club until he moved to Club Deportivo Los Loros.

National team

In 2006 he was in the squad of the Ecuadorian national football team , but was not used.
