José de Jesús Mendoza (born January 10, 1979 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican football player who is mainly used in the attacking midfield .

Life

society

Jesús Mendoza began his professional career in the 1996/97 season at Club León . Before the 1999/00 season he moved to Chivas Guadalajara and a year later to its arch-rivals America , with whom he was under contract until mid-2005 and with whom he won two championship titles. His five-year service at América was only interrupted by a six-monthly loan to CF Monterrey in early 2003, which was crowned with another championship title for Mendoza .

Since his move to San Luis FC in summer 2005, he worked for any club more than one season and plays currently for Celaya FC .

National team

Mendoza made his debut in the dress of the Mexican national team on November 17, 1998 in a friendly against El Salvador, which was won 2-0. His last international appearance was on March 31, 2004 in a friendly against Costa Rica, which was also won 2-0. Mendoza scored his only international goal in a 2-1 draw against Yugoslavia on February 13, 2002. Nine of eleven international matches in which Mendoza played were friendly matches; his only two competitive appearances were in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2000 against Guatemala (1-1) and Canada (1-2 after Golden Goal ).
